Griffins


Griffins are only found in the Aquarian Plains, strange for winged creatures to live in a realm that consist mostly out of water. But it is still their home realm. There location is unknown for now, but if you think about it, then it should be somewhere high.

Griffins used to be friendly towards the elves, most of the old elves even had them as mounts and companions in their long adventures, but that all changed. According to the older elves, the Griffins once made a pact with the dark elves, but they were mislead, the Griffins felt ashamed and used, which brought dishonor onto them. That was a disaster, you see Griffins are majestic creatures, normally very loyal and friendly. But through the pact they were now associated, with many bad words, scary, not to be trusted, ect… . It’s a sad story actually, cause the Griffins thought they were helping the right people, but it was all a lie. This is also the main reason they went into hiding, at least the elves think they went into hiding, but no one knows for sure. All the information about Griffins was burned right after the big war with the dark elves. Now all what is left are the stories and one book in the library of the palace of King Erios.

Griffins can be great fighters and really strong mounts, but it’s hard to befriend one, since the pact with the dark elves they can be very distrusting, but an act of honor is a way to convince them.

If you ever want to kill a Griffin you can either just pierce them to the heart or chop off their head, which will grant them a quick dead. If you prefer a slower one, cut off their wings and they’ll die of sadness. But then again who would want to kill such a beautiful creature.

Last know fact is that King Erios, the ruler of the Aquarian Plains is searching for them, he wants to know exactly what happened. He think it’s time the come out of hiding. For now he keeps it to himself, cause he don’t want to spread panic across the city. Only Lirit one of the wise elves that live in the capital city knows of his plan, mostly because he needs all the information he can get.
