History: An institution hidden in Burbok's desert, in a place that only a few know how to find, and those who do are carefully watched and monitored. The Academy, as its known throughout the kingdom, has one singular purpose: to protect and ensure the prosperity of Burbok. They take children that are orphaned or, otherwise unwanted, and turn them into the best of the best, the true elite, regardless of race or heritage. The men and women that are raised and trained here, are highly sought after, and they play a hand in all of the state's aspects as scholars, advisors, warriors and mages, but do not act directly, being forbidden from taking a leading role in society. They must observe, advise and protect their charges.
Architecture: it is a fortress hidden in the mountainous region of Burbok, and, from a distance, it can be confounded with the surrounding mountains. Its towers and walls aren't very tall, but it's location offers only one way of attack. It can hold up to 300 students, and a garrison of 100.
Leadeship: 4 High Masters who form the Sabuta. 1 scholar, 1 mage, 1 warrior and 1 Hand
Location: unknown to even the Khal himself. Only a few former students know where it is, most of whom live normal lives amongst the populace.
What isn't known to anyone outside the Academy is how they train the children for their future lives. They are repeatedly subjected to trials meant to break them, physically and mentally, to separate the weak from the strong. Some die during these tests; others survive and are trained to be specialized in certain fields and a select few shine during them with cunning, intelligence, strength and dexterity. These are the unlucky ones, for they are chosen and submitted to the most gruelling and demanding training, in all of the fields Fir'kin Academy has, named the Hand of the Khal.
